No jury duty for me...this time

Monday.
Okay, so I waited all day to call the # to see if I was scheduled to report tomorrow for jury duty. I called and was informed that #'s 1-163 were to report and #'s 164-331 were excused; I was #164! No celebrating though as I know that in 6 mo I'll undoubtedly be requested again. I know this because it was 6 mo ago when I had my last summons, lol
Well, it's all good and I was able to get quite a bit done on my projects today. After all it was overcast all day so I decided to stay in and knit. I made wonderful progress.
Here's what I was working on, of course so much more has been completed on them, but they are now put away and I don't feel like dragging them back out to take new pix...so here they are from earlier:
The Knitting Like Crazy Mystery Sock KAL:

Then there is the Volna scarf I'm working on for Carmen:

I'm not sure about that pattern for the socks though. I did the first 4 repeats of Chart 1, I really like the way the pattern is working out, however, chart 2...hmmm, not so much. It doesn't seem to really flow with the first chart at all, almost like trying to combining 2 different patterns, I liken it to a sampler and I don't really like it. I've been thinking if I just want to pull the whole thing out and do something different, or, continue on with chart 1. I believe I have decided, though, to just wait for the next clue and see if the pattern changes again to another chart and the whole thing becomes a Frankenstein.
My WestKnits mystery KAL is also waiting for me to correct those last 4 rows and to begin clue 2, lol...these being my first mystery KAL's I'm already falling back on doing my own thing. Perhaps mystery work is truly not my bag, we'll see...lol
Okay, I just looked at clue #2 postings and honestly, just not feeling it. I'll probably finish mine and promptly give it away (~: Oh well, it's all in good fun!
It's back to work, the gym and walking tomorrow. Isn't it funny? I take off an extra day of work and by the end of the third day I am ready to get back at it.
~Refreshed, renewed...

  1. I haven't heard of that sock knit along. I can't wait to see it finished. It looks pretty!

  2. Thank you! I love the color. My son's girlfriend is a glass artist and she is trading with me for some awesome glass work, I can't wait to see what she makes!
